Hello!!!

So, Halloween is just around the corner. Are you pumped?

Every year for halloween- year after year- my costume is absolutely LAST MINUTE. Put together quickly from my closet. I searched high and low for pictures of past Halloweens but I could not find anything!

The ONLY picture I found that was Halloween related, was a picture from a cheesy Rock 101 Calendar I was in, about 10 years ago! I am shocked that I had brown hair. (I think I kept it brown for a week and hated it and went back blond)

My good friend Sherry beside me.

Would I ever be “Trick” in a Calendar again? NO. Did I care at the time though? NO!

In the past, for Halloween I have been:

- a really old lady (when I was like 5)
- karate kid
- Axl Rose
- Pocahontas
- a Hooters girl (cuz I used to work there- I had the outfit already- haha)
- typical 80′s outfit

(I just left my mom a message at work so that she can help me round out this list. I DO NOT remember what I dressed up as over the years.)
ok, mom said I was
-a witch
-a dancer
- a princess
- she said once I got older I was the “goth look” a lot

haha, thanks mom!

One thing I do remember though. I was OBSESSED with the candy!!! Janna and I used to go trick or treating and we made maps of the routes we were going to take. I got soooo into it. I would run from house to house filling up my pillow case! I would take an unload break halfway through and dump the candy on my bed to empty my sac, so I could get out there for more!

I wasn’t all dainty like the other kids who maybe had a small plastic pumpkin

I went buckwild!!!

Well, this Halloween I may indulge in a bit of candy. But I’m really excited to make pumpkin seeds!

Here is a pumpkin seed recipe!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
2 teaspoons butter, melted (I like to use soy free Earth Balance Spread)
1 pinch salt (i like a bit more salt than “a pinch”)

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter and salt. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.

Yum! Are you dressing up for Halloween? As what?

Have a happy happy day!!

xoxo

After we carved our pumpkins we made the seeds (which were painfully saved by two boys) and made your recipe (“butter” and all)! Thanks – they were very yummy!

YAY! Glad you liked them Farrah. So no, I didn’t get the macaroon recipe. But I will try to find out! I was just thinking about making something fun and sweet and they were amazing…so i’d love to try it!
