  • Hey!

How are you today? I’m doing ok. I slept in until whenever I felt like it and slowly got myself up and started mucking around a bit. Put in some laundry, tidied up and did some random work.

I tried to work as little as possible, but it seems like my brain is always going. Figuring out our California trip is one of the things I am working on..but I am trying to remember….

I went out to Three Dog Bakery here in Port Moody to pick up a few things for our furry friend.

    three dog bakery

When I got back, I discovered that each of my 2 amazing agents had auditions for me. My Toronto agent had a Cineplex spot and my Vancouver agent had a McDonalds spot. Umm, yes, I can get into that!

It was actually a series of tv spots for McCafe… seriously crossing my fingers on this one. I would be sooo nice….

I feel kinda lazy today, but I know I need the rest right now…It’s always when you can’t exercise that you want to do it the most. I’m on my old laptop and I found this picture of me doing p90x about 1 year ago..

Ha. Well, I have 1 week of no physical activity. I can dig it. I’m allowed to go for walks. Took the pup on a walk today.
Tomorrow is chalk full of running around getting ready for our road trip Saturday. Wash and vacuum truck, meet uncle and cousin who are still in town, meet with Stormtech, meet with my friend who is looking after Painter while we are away… stuff like that.

Get ready for some West Coast road tripping blogging action! Coming Soon…..

    Have a good night;)

  • Hey there!

Happy Monday. Is your week off to a good start? Mine is, I think it’s because I intend it to be.

This morning when I was writing in my morning pages I wrote. This week is going to be the best week of the year. Good things then started to happen. I found out I have a Vitamix in the mail on its way to me, I found out our budget is approved for a trip down to California in a couple weeks, I landed a few awesome voice jobs and I have an interview for a hosting job I applied for. Coincidence or Intention?

We need to set the bar high for ourselves. There is so much abundance out there, there is no reason why we should not have a piece of it. By “We” I mean YOU too!

Intend it! Put the intention out there and the universe will respond. Today is day 1 of the best week of the year;)

Here is me in the booth voicing a spot for Conair hair today…(I could use whatever they are selling! ha)

Ah man, never a dull moment.

Tomorrow we are shooting the Cool Wazoo video.

We have an awesome cast of 10… 5 moms and 5 babies for the shoot. YAY!

Our friend Ginelle is the inventor of the Cool Wazoo. It has been on The Today Show and I have a hunch it will be on some other cool shows soon;)

So I made both things today that I said I would:

Raw 2 bite brownies (click for recipe)

    Almond milk (click for recipe)

    almond milk and brownies

I put too much Vanilla in the milk, but it still tastes really good. I only drink it with tea.

I think this cartoon is funny…

I think I’m doing ok too in the protein department!

Well, I should go- simply because we need to map out our shots for tomorrows shoot. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

    Stay Cool! YAYOOOO

  • Hello!

Today I went exploring outside for an episode of The Nature of Things with Amanda Suzuki. Hauling my camera around “ain’t no big thang”… but it’s still kind of a obstacle, especially with a crazy dog.

The annoyance factor gets REALLY high when you go to take your first award winning shot and the memory card is sitting back in your computer at home. BOO.

    Well, thank goodness for iphones….

I took Painter on a big stroll around the neighbourhood. It was such a beautiful day.

    old orchard park

Our stroll through the park turned into a mud slopping, sand kicking, rock hopping good time!

    bug puppy water

Ha, He was trying to catch the water splashes with his mouth. cute

After a good Kilometre running along the muddy shoreline. My dog was wet, tired and DIRTY!

As soon as I got home, he was thrown into the bath…

It’s been a good weekend. I have relaxed quite a bit these last 2 days, which is great. I am usually go, go, go. I’ve had a lot on my mind lately and am trying not to get too stressed out….Of course the wedding plans have been a big brain space filler, and my upcoming surgery next week is another weird force that fills up your brain with too much thinking.

Thoughts in my head about my surgery:

    -why am I even worried?

-what if they find something really bad?

    -why did I get this?

    - am I feeling sorry for myself?

-what right do I have even feeling bad for one second when so many others are going through way worse?

-I know I need to eat a plant based diet, but sometime I just don’t want to care about what I eat?

-how will this change my life?

-I want to have kids, but maybe not right this second, but if I don’t do it this second will it be too late?

-is this even a big deal?

And on and on and on…

To the right of my computer I have an oracle card that states I am a powerful healer, but then my appointment card hits me in the face, I try to remind myself that this VERY MOMENT, is all that counts. Yoga is good.

Hmmmm….as Gwen Stefani says…”I’m just a girl in the world….”

In non-emotional news I also went to Costco today. We have a HUGE family of 2 humans plus 1 dog to feed, so we NEED a Costco card, haha…

    Anyway…I picked up some nuts..

    What? Nuts in the fridge?

    kirkland walnuts, almonds

Yep. Something I have learned in the last 6 months is that we should keep our nuts in the fridge. They do go bad just like any other perishable food. So I fill my handy mason jars for my day-to-day use and I keep the fat bag of nuts in the crisper…

    keeping nuts in the fridge

Tomorrow I am thinking Brownies with the walnuts and almond milk with the almonds! OW!

I got 2 boxes of the arugula/spinach mix of greens. Making green smoothies all week baby!

I wish I could have got local greens, but these California greens will work.
    costco arugula spinach greens
And some “sulfite flavoured” olives, lol… costco olives
And a lifetime supply of cotton pads.costco cotton pads

We got some other stuff too, I just can’t remember….

Anything exciting happen for you over the weekend? Fill me in!

Oh, and here’s to a kick ass week filled with pure potential!!!

  • Hello!

Happy weekend:) It was pouring all day here.

This morning I stayed in bed and missed my yoga class, only to make up for it this afternoon. On the way there I realized I did not have a hair tie… and for a Bikrams yoga class you NEED a hair tie!

I always have trillions of elastics laying around….UNTIL I need one.. (Murphy’s law)

So in a desperate state, I thought….hmmmm….this twist tie might work. SO I gave it a shot.

Oh man, it was perfect. Didn’t budge the whole class! I see a market for this…What’s the number for Dragon’s Den? (Canadian show about business ideas)

Painter is SOOO good at finding all my hair stuff, I’m thinking he ate them all.

Speaking of eating…When is the last time you bought sprouts? Sprouts are some of the most nutritious foods on the planet! They are full of enzymes, they can decompose themselves in the body (saving your body from having to make up it’s own enzymes to break it down) and they aid in digestion. These below are Broccoli sprouts. They contain all the juicy power to become big broccoli one day, so if you eat them in this state, they are a superfood.

    brocolli sprouts

I am trying to add them into my salads. You can grow your own sprouts, but easier to just buy your own!

Mmm, cabbage too.. Another amazing food….

I promise, I don’t just eat all day, haha. I have been in the sound booth voicing like crazy this week. Today I got a job with AT&T, as well as Conair! ¬†I am voicing a commercial for Conair’s new no clamp curling iron. It is all the new rage!

It’s something like this…. I sooo want one.

I’ll let you know more about the commercial when I know it’s ok to talk about it….

The holidays are coming and it’s a wonderful time to give to others. The¬†voiceover community has created The 10-Week VO Holiday Challenge where professional voice talents volunteer their voice to a charity of their choice. The charity I approached is Feeding 5000 in Pennsylvania.

    feeding 5000

The reason I picked this charity is because one of it’s faithful volunteers Rachel Lynn Edgar passed away last month and it was her request that donations be made to this charity. Rachel was a 35 year old mom who died of cervix cancer on Sept.14/2011.

She was a fighter- she ran 2 half marathons while undergoing 6 chemo and 39 radiation treatments. I have surgery on Nov.1 for precancerous cells in my cervix and Rachel’s story not only touched my heart, but made me realize how precious life is and everyday is a gift.

You can read entry’s from Rachel before she passed away, as well as her mom and sister wrote on the blog too. It is I admire Rachel so much and her story and fight breaks my heart. I found out about her because her aunt commented on my blog recently.

There are a ton of women out there who “beat” cancer or sustain health while living with cancer, such as Kris Carr from (below here with Oprah) This Kris girl is amazing. I encourage you to check out her website.

Here’s to continuing the fight to conquer cancer. I will post my voiceover for Feeding 5000 once it’s done. The charity is writing the script and getting it to me next week.

Do you volunteer at any charity?

I used to volunteer at the University, reading books for the sight-impaired students….

I absolutely loved it.. But I got too busy (and moved really far from the University)

Hmmm, more time in a week please…..

Ha, on that note, I better get running. I hope you have a gorgeous weekend. I don’t mean gorgeous weather, cause I know here in Van that’s not an option. I mean gorgeous on the inside…. and shine your beautiful heart for the world to see!!!

Lots of love, light and happiness!!!!

    Happy Sunday?

Today is sort of a blur! I set my alarm for 7am, got up, took the pup out. Hit up the farmers market and bought a HUGE supply of produce… such as peppers…

Tomatoes, beets, kale, romaine and leaf lettuce, apples, onions, peas, etc….

We brought the dog today so he could get in on the fun…pretty much a bad idea… pup+ farmers market= WAY more work than needed! lol

Here’s us playing a little game;)

Pretty good for 4 months! ;)

After the farmers market… It was time to get to work! I worked over 13 hours so far today… Why am I so crazy to do this?

    The answer….

haha, bold..but it’s true. I DO really love my career path, It is trying sometimes, but it is such a rewarding feeling to be working for myself, being creative, doing something I am so passionate about.

My schedule may be extremely unpredictable. Like work 17 hours 3 days in a row, off the next…But I am happy with this path and I continue to give it my all!

So that’s kinda it today folks! I gave every ounce I had to voiceovers today. This coming week should be a little more tame..but we’ll see….

NEXT up.. I need to focus on THIS:

(Our wedding!) These were the party favours given out yesterday. Cute hey?

Ok.. sending off a few more files and off to bed. Nighty night! Lots of love, light and passion!!! xoxoxo
