  • Hey!

    Any hockey fans in the house?? I know not all of you are Canucks fans, but if I may….
    Today is the first preseason game for the one and only Vancouver Canucks. Woo hoo.

    I have been a fan since first moving to Vancouver. I remember about 8 years ago, the radio station I worked at (Rock 101) donated a jersey to a family friend of mine, Jesse, who was in the hospital and not doing well. Then one of the dj’s managed to take the jersey to the rink while the team was practicing and they all signed the jersey! Now the jersey sits in a glass lit frame in my friends room (and Jesse is doing great, btw). It totally made his day, (since the Canucks are absolute favorite team) and I was floored at the generosity and kindness of both the radio station and the team. So in honor of sport and entertainment, lets get ready to rumble:

    Here is a song Mike and I wrote for the Canucks. A die hard fan heard it and made a video for it. They play this song on local radio stations from time to time before games! (we want to re-record it eventually to make it sound even better)

    Woo Hoo. Here’s to good season!
    Ironically, I am the host for the pilot of a new TV show for the Canucks. We are filming today. Wish me luck.

    I am trying to get caught up on my p90X. It is going good. I just need to add a couple more workouts in since I missed them when I was away. So I will get on that. Also if I have time today I might make some Lentil Walnut veggie burgers! YUM.

  • Hello!!

    Hope you are having a fabulous day!

    I have been working away. Finished day 2 of my P90X! My arms and abs are pretty sore from yesterdays workout, but no pain no gain!

    I am also working on a voiceover project for another translation company (seems to be my thing lately)
    People are interviewed on some videos and I am the English voiceover. Pretty easy work, keep em coming!!

    Yesterday I made some more Kale chips!! Best batch yet. If you want to see the recipe, click here

    I used 2 heads of Kale and the mound on the pan was massive

    I seasoned them with freshly squeezed lemon and pepper.

    Kinda looks like weed hey? but sooo far from it, lol (they did not last long!! So good and so healthy!)

    I want to get into some more recipes……. soon!!

    So this is pretty exciting to me. I have an app that tracks how many countries are following my blog….we are at 21!!

    So cool! In honour of reaching out to 21 countries, I want to share with you a video that Mike and I made for a song we wrote. This video was made during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. We got as many people as we could from other countries to sing along and participate in our video!

    YAY! Keep the countries coming! You rock! My definition of blogging is like having your own radio show, except you write instead of speak and you get to choose your own format. I can’t believe I didn’t start sooner!!

  • Hello! It’s Monday:)

    Let’s run out of the blocks on a good foot! Here’s a video with me sharing one of my new favorite recipes.

    I got this recipe from

    Here’s what you need

    • 2 cans of chickpeas
    • 3 cups white vinegar
    • 1 tsp Coarse sea salt
    • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil

    Rinse chickpeas, bring vinegar and chickpeas to a boil, let it sit for 30min, line a baking sheet with tin foil,  preheat oven to about 400,  massage chickpeas with olive oil and salt before putting them in oven, bake for about 40min, keep an eye on them, you want brown/crispy-not burnt!

    Take them to a movie, instead of getting popcorn?

  • Good morning Sunshine’s! These are exercises I do everyday before getting into the sound booth. I usually include singing warmups too. (I’ll turn on my i-pod, put headphones on and do dishes while I sing and wake up my neighbor’s at 6am!!)
