  • Hello!

I seem to be getting back into some form of routine, which is nice. I went to the gym this morning and then made a super duper jam packed green smoothie…

    Green smoothie

    healthy green smoothie!

That shake gives you super powers lol!

This is my view from my desk.. As much as I want to run and play and frolic in the woods….

This is more realistically my reality… SOUND BOOTH. Good times though.. I’ve been voicing like crazy. It is soo nice to be back in my awesome booth. Love it..

    homemade sound booth

In between sessions, I started to soak some nuts, so I can make some almond milk…

Also, today I ran out to Planet Organic (like a mini-local Whole Foods) and I bought some Ezekiel Sprouted bread. It’s in the frozen section and it’s about $5.50 a loaf, but to me, it is worth it. No sugar added, it’s flourless. It’s just all sprouted grain goodness.

My creative cap came on and I toasted 2 pieces and added some smushed up avocado with garlic and red peppers, then tomato and romaine…

It was actually sooo good… I want more! lol

At the gym today I did 40 minutes on the eliptical.. no strength training today… ALL GOOD though.. Cause life is goooood.

I have been super happy lately.. no real reason.. maybe because spring is slowing coming out to play?

  • Happy weekend friends. wooo hooo.

Momma mia, there is a new health kick kid on the block. (Ooohh, actually it’s been around for centuries, but I am just discovering it all now..)

In my pilates class I overheard one of the girls in my class saying that she drink a bottle of Kombucha a day. I have also seen this stuff on other raw foodies websites and just heard overall that it is a good for you.

2 days ago I spotted this at Whole Foods and had to try it. To be honest, I thought I would hate it, but mmmmm, I liked it! Tastes like sparking water…

TONS of celebrities drink this stuff, but here’s where it gets weird… Lindsay Lohan’s “scram” bracelet went off for alcohol detection and she blamed it on her Kombucha since there are TRACE amounts of alcohol in this drink (it even says it on the bottle) THEN Whole Foods PULLED this product from the shelf, only to devastate many loyal consumers…

Within no time, the product was back on the shelf, Lindsay’s “people” apologized for misleading the G.T. Synergy Kombucha drink.

Here are all the things Kombucha is good for:

    *Probiotics – healthy bacteria
*Alkalize the body – balances internal pH
*Detoxify the liver – happy liver = happy mood
*Increase metabolism – rev your internal engine
*Improve digestion – keep your system moving
*Rebuild connective tissue – helps with arthritis, gout, asthma, rheumatism
    *Cancer prevention
    *Alleviate constipation
*Boost energy – helps with chronic fatigue
    *Reduce blood pressure
    *Relieve headaches & migraines
    *Reduce kidney stones
*High in antioxidants – destroy free-radicals that cause cancer
    *High in polyphenols
    *Improve eyesight
*Heal excema – can be applied topically to soften the skin
    *Prevent artheriosclerosis
*Speed healing of ulcers – kills h.pylori on contact
*Help clear up candida & yeast infections
    *Aid healthy cell regeneration
    *Reduce gray hair
*Lower glucose levels – prevents spiking from eating

Umm YA! I’ll drink to that… But EWWW, here’s what it looks like when it is fermenting. It is alive and often grows to the shape of it container when harvesting this stuff…People think it’s made from mushrooms, but it’s really just a yeast that actually carbonates naturally.. So when you drink it, it has a fizzy taste..

I’ll only drink it when it’s in a pretty bottle and tastes good…. My friend Amanda from loves the green one… I’ll pick that one up next time….

I want to live long. I want to be healthy. I strive to be healthy, feel healthy. Strive to be and feel vibrant and full of life and love… I am not perfect, I have not been 100% raw since the new year has started. I don’t beat myself up though. Since I took the Feed Life, Starve Cancer classes in Vancouver, I see the benefits of other foods. Such as steamed yams, steamed veggies (for variety), whole grain rice and legumes. I miss 100% raw, but I’ve been kind of all over the map since being in LA. No excuses, just in a different head space. Really want to buckle down again with my choices soon. LESS beer and mexican food—- More raw, live, fresh fruits and veggies… I can do that!!

Here’s some shots by the wonderful Swoon Photography taken a couple weeks ago down here in California.

This shoot was such a blast. The lovely Diana from The Look Machine helped style it.

I’m Fun! (most of the time)

Nice black and white shot. 2 sets of eyelashes baby!

At this moment. I can hear people swimming in our outdoor pool and I am loving it. I MAY have to go for a dip. It’s a heated pool….

It’s been so nice to spend the rainy (Vancouver season) in Sunny California. I still really miss home though..I’m sure we’ll be back soon enough!

Sending you love, light, power and might….You are so amazing. I love this quote by my fellow Canadian tribe member, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Wayne Gretzky. Amen Wayne, Amen…..

  • Hey!

Ok…What is inspiring you NOW. I mean like RIGHT NOW. Don’t over think it. Just spit it out.

Here are 5 things that are inspiring me NOW off the top of my head:

    1. California weather (it’s been crazy nice, like lay on the beach nice-in January!)

Here’s an iphone shot I took the other night.

    2. People with STYLE! (I must look like a stalker, but at the dog park, I stare at some of the girls around me that have such funky style…oh and I’m in my running shorts!) They inspire me to think outside the box a bit. Working from home, I can get complacent with my “style” or what I put on everyday. I want to put more effort into it.

This collage of last years Coachella goers which pretty much sums up LA style. It’s very hip, funky, chill, relaxed, somewhat vintage. (My target running shorts just don’t compare!!! haha)

    3. Raw healthy eating.

I have been pretty darn good these days with sticking to raw, but still far from a 100% raw diet. But- I try to I incorporate as many fruits and veggies into my life as possible and make an effort to stay away from fat and Dairy! (Meat isn’t even an issue, I am SO over it!)
I LOVE This video on how food resembles our body parts…

    4. My work. (ahh, what else is new?) When I have time-I listen to other voice actors demo’s and I just love it, there is soo much amazing talent out there. When I’m in the car-I turn up the commercials. When I am in voiceover classes- I am a learning sponge.(I don’t always hear the things I want- they do NOT sugar coat anything, but I know it is making me stronger)

Here is a screen shot of my feedback page. Besides 1 other voice talent, I have the most amount of 5 star ratings for female voice talent on the whole site!! 118 5-star reviews baby! actor

    5. My wedding photos! They were taken by Matt and Janna Photography in Saskatoon. I’m just really inspired at how they captured it all. I don’t want to bombard you with kissing photos, haha, but I love LOVE,  I love my husband and I am so thrilled with our pictures and just getting to relive the day through photographs.

My ruby red slippers in action. “There’s no place like home!”.

    I heart him.

OK. Well, artsy fartsy me has spoken. This is me..tonight…5 things that are inspiring me NOW. What is inspiring you? It can seriously be ANYTHING. That’s the beauty of life. Life is what we make it, we can see it however we want…

Maybe your pillow is inspiring you? hee hee… night night.

  • Hello!

Happy Monday:) I started my Monday off right with a 6am yoga class!  I’m going to go again tomorrow morning. Got home from yoga and wrote out my morning pages in my journal (my 3 pages of stream of conscience ramble), listened to Morning Coach and even did a mini 5 minute meditation. It was all such a powerful and uplifting start to the day.

    Then it was Vitamix time!

    Bring on the KALE.

Frozen berries, 2 bananas juice of a lemon, ginger and a wack of kale!

Vroom vroom, let’s go for a spin.

“Hello, my name is healthy <3″

    green shake

I did a pile of auditions today, and took a little break tooooo… You guesssed it the dog park. On my walk there though, I saw some birds… some beautiful birds of paradise and….

Roosters?! Seriously this would be just like walking down any street in your neighbourhood, but then, oh look- behind your neighbours fence is a bunch of chicks.

Hey, at least the owners don’t need an alarm clock.

He gazed into each others eye….

So did anyone watch the awards show yesterday? (Golden Globes yesterday?) I didn’t watch them, but I saw this picture of Charlize Theron online and I just always think she is so gorgeous!

What a great hairstyle too!! Here is step by step how her “MANE man” did it (get it? Mane man…damn I’m funny)
    Here’s Anglieri’s step-by-step for creating the look:

    * “I started with already dry, naturally waved hair, and curled small sections with a 2” curling iron to enhance the volume and texture. I used the larger iron because I didn’t want to curl her hair, but to refine the natural wave. This helped create an effortless transition from her natural look to red carpet.”
*“Once finished, I lightly misted the curled sections with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray. After a few minutes, I completely brushed through her hair with a Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Paddle brush to eliminate any trace of separation, for a natural, clean look with a romantic, soft texture.”
*“Next, I swept the hair to the left and made three sections. I pulled and rolled the first two into a loose bun and pinned them, working with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray throughout the process to control and hold the hair in place. I released and wrapped the last section under and around the bun and pinned it. Finally, I adjusted and freed strands in the bun looked so it looked even more unstructured, messy, and a bit wispy.
*“To finish the look, I sprayed the hair with Moroccanoil Frizz Control, the key product to making this look work and photograph well. Moroccanoil Frizz Control made any flyways disappear, gave me more control of the hair and the look of the bun, and kept everything frizz-free and in place through the evening. I then placed the Cartier diamond headband into the style.”

I think I’m going to “attempt” this look tomorrow. I’ll try it and take a picture for you! If you try it, please send it my way:)

And there ya have it! All in a days work. What’s new with you???

  • Hey!

Phewf, last night around this place was a gong show. Our neighbours down the hall were not having the best of times. It was a couple screaming and arguing all night….that was until the cops came at 3am.
Geesh. On top of that, Mike‘s had a really bad cough. So I let him sleep in and decided Painter and I would go to Tim’s and get him a coffee.
While I was in the drive through, on the radio a man was playing a win cash game. He won $800 and he was flipping out , but then he said he was sooo happy because this was the first Christmas in 42 years that he didn’t have to work, since he had just retired. OK- I don’t know if it was the way he said it, or what, but that made me cry. I’m serious, not for long, I was just so happy for him that he had Christmas off and he just won $800. (Bridezilla is slowly emerging….haha)

When I got home I was standing in front of the elevator with a coffee for Mike, tea for me. Then, Painter see’s another dog….charges for it and Mike’s coffee is perfectly fine, but my tea goes flying across the lobby. My emotions did a quick turn from compassionate to RAGE! (kidding, more frustration that I lost my tea I was so excited about).

I made a green shake instead.

    Green Smoothie cleanse

Some of the greens I was rocking this morning.

I also went to the gym this morning. 45 minute workout. 20 on eliptical, then some light weight training.
For work today I voiced an online gaming system that will be played in Mexico. I did an audition, they said, “We love your voice, can we hear you with a spanish accent.” So I did my best accent and sent it to them. They emailed me back, “It’s official, we’d like to hire you, but please just speak in your regular voice!” haha.
I’m good at eating Mexican, but NOT sounding like one! lol (something to work on..)

ahh, Mexican food…. SNAP. Day 12 on my cleanse. One thing about this cleanse is how easy it has gotten. In the beginning I had pretty bad headaches and I didn’t know how I would continue, but day by day, the headache (aka- toxins releasing) left and now I feel like I am on A1A- Beach Front Avenue!

Here’s me for real on A1A Beach Front Avenue in Florida last May. Another margarita???

It is definitely my go-to holiday #1 choice. I guess I could make margarita’s in my Vitamix… hmmmm…

Wishing you a happy, happy, happy weekend full of love, light and JOY! Hark the herald angels are singing for YOU.
