Archive: CRAZY ME:)

  • Happy Halloween!

Are fireworks really that important on Halloween? I guess so in Port Moody! They are going off like crazy around here…

    port moody halloween fireworks

Check out this decorated house I saw downtown today..How’d they get the spider up there? Um, duh, he crawled up! lol

The only real halloween festivities I participated in this year was candy eating and pumpkin carving with my cousin, check out our masterpiece..

Painter’s 1st Halloween, he loves pumpkin…(He eats anything mind you.)

I stole this pic from last year’s blog on Halloween. This funny old pic of me in a Rock 101 Calendar with my friend Sherry.

In the past, for Halloween I have been:

    - a really old lady (when I was like 5)
    - karate kid
    - Axl Rose
    - Pocahontas
    - a Hooters girl (cuz I used to work there- I had the outfit already- haha)
    - typical 80′s outfit

(I just left my mom a message at work so that she can help me round out this list. I DO NOT remember what I dressed up as over the years.)
    ok, mom said I was
    -a witch
    -a dancer
    -a princess
    - she said once I got older I was the “goth look” a lot.

This was 2 years ago.. Not really sure “what” I was, I just put on a red wig, false eyelashes and a crazy push up bra! ha.

Well, tomorrow is the big day…surgery not looking forward to it, but looking forward to it being done with and moving on. I have been pretty emotional today but I know that everything happens for a reason and I am meant to go through this experience. It has definitely changed me, in terms of trying to eat healthier, be more aware of how processed foods can actually feed cancer cells and I know I need to keep stress levels down too. In my sound booth today I had 26 pages of geometry to voice and I was loving every minute of it. I was overjoyed to be voicing it. Life is too short to not appreciate the small things and see the beauty that surrounds us everyday.

Stay positive no matter what…tee hee…

Thanks for reading this blog and being a part of this journey. I really appreciate you and the inspiration you give me to be the best I can be everyday.

    Rock and roll! xo

  • Hello!

How was your weekend? Have you seen any people dressed up and been like, “EEEEEK, oh my…..then remembered…ohhh ya, it’s halloween….”

Just look at those trees changing colour… This is mother natures “treat”…

    Nature's treat

My uncle arrived today for a week long union convention.

Here is Mike and my uncle Jack at the Convention centre. They both look serious and mad, but I assure you they were in a dynamic conversation and got along just fine!

Cousin Nicole and I were all smiles…

I absolutely LOVE this hanging earth at the  Vancouver convention centre.

We all hung out for the day and we took them to Stepho’s (our favourite greek restaurant) for dinner.   I have a meeting downtown tomorrow morning, so I will get to see them again tomorrow.

Can I just show you this little button? It’s my nephew Jasper at a pumpkin patch. OH my goodness…

UGH, I can’t wait to see him at the end of November.  Just too cute.

    Squish his face!

So did you splurge on some halloween candy? I couldn’t resist…

    My kinda treats.

Why does that Smarties box have a green checkmark on it? A check for “YUP-I’m unhealthy?” haha

If you are in the Vancouver area and want a healthy kickstart. Do yourself and your body a favour and check out one (Or all) of these classes happening at Organic Lives:

  • Hello!

    How are thou?

Ventured out today to get the ol eyebrows threaded. (I think I scared the lady when she saw them) Let’s just say..they didn’t call me Bert for my love of pigeons!

So I stopped by the mall on the way… Got a juice… Freshly squeezed carrot and oj.
carrot and OJ from Jugo Juice
I really loved it actually. First time I’ve ordered it. Vitamin C x1000!

    jugo juice orange and carrot

Tried on some jeggings at American Eagle since I have a gift card there… I liked the black on me way better than the grey, but they were low riding too much, I felt like i’d be tugging them up all the time. This picture makes them look super short too. They weren’t that short. But none the less, I didn’t get em. I DID grab a shirt and scarf from Forever 21. Still in my bag though, I’ll show you tomorrow!

I noticed the mall had a Kiehls now (Metrotown in Van). I HEART Kiehls. Good for the skin!

Something super crafty I did for my skin today was slather avocado on my face and left it on my skin for about 10 minutes before I jumped in the shower. First time I’ve ever done it. I was just making a salad and thought about how good avocado’s are for your skin when you eat them, and figured they must be good topically too. Think about all the avocado creams out there (Kiehl’s themselves have a creamy avocado eye cream!)

I know it’s not the most appealing picture, but my report from the experience was- IT”S GREAT! My skin felt super soft afterwards. I was stoked….
    The salad was good too…

Another amazing skin break through is this new product called the SKN Spin and it’s now available in Canada! I modelled for the video, it seems weird at first to roll needles over your face, but it works! It’s kinda like microdermabrasion, but better…

Check out their site to learn more and watch moi in the video…<3

And yet another good thing for skin is sleep… so I will get to that right away… But first… Please tell me I’m not the only one who beeps their car keys a million times to try and locate their car in a large parking lot?

    trying to find car

Ok good…you do it too? Cause I was getting some looks… Well just one girl… she was like STARRING… as she went up the escalator… But I think I was getting the looks because I was taking a picture of myself WHILE I was beeping my car keys, looking for my car. I guess that would look weird. The things I do for this blog…haha

    Have a great night!

  • Hey!

So last week we had a meeting with the ever-amazing Stormtech to talk about shooting some videos for the 2012 Spring line. Well, I had a super far out idea that I just shot out there, I prefaced it with, “I know this might sound crazy, but what if..” and turns out… my idea wasn’t crazy at all… We are going to California!

In November we will be driving down the coast shooting videos with some ridiculously talented people. We are teaming up with a Pro Kite surfing champ in San Francisco, an award wining hollywood stuntman in Orange County, some friends of mine that are also actors in LA and maybe an interview with an NFL trainer. We’ll see on that one. We will be documenting our trip the whole way, so get ready for a wild ride!!!

I know all about wild rides. I lived in LA back in the day, doing the rock and roll thing…

    Amanda Sellers

A lot of my crazy experiences… all the touring I did, looking back I can’t even believe it….

    Music video…

Playing at the Viper Room in Hollywood.

    Amanda Sellers, Viper room

Out for dinner with 90210′s Kathleen Robertson. (let’s just say she was a friend of a friend) I was wearing her glasses in this picture, I did not have glasses back then… like I do now, haha

    Kathleen Robertson, LA

Oh Hollywood, how I’ve missed you! Can’t wait to go back!

There are parts of LA I just love. If I could live there 6 months out of the year, I would…and I think I just might at some point…we’ll see…or at least visit more for longer periods of time. We are subletting a place, so that makes it possible.

I just like all the things you can do and see. There are amazing voiceover workshops happening…EVERYDAY. Lots of hosting opportunities, raw food restaurants, ocean, disneyland, shopping, hot sunny weather…..hmmmm….

Mike and I went a couple years ago. Here we are hiking in the hollywood hills.

One of my favourite stops is the Rainbow Bar and Grill. Will definitely be going there.

    Rainbow Bar and Grill

Snap, snap, back to reality. Still have lots of work to get through here… It’s been a good day…cleaning in between voicing. Multitasking champion over here..

Hoep your doing great… my vitamix should be here any day now…
