Good morning!

Ugh, I had a really hard time sleeping last night because of the 24/7 construction going on outside. I guess if they are working around the clock that means they will be outta here faster! It’s annoying but I’m sure they don’t wanna be working through the night, as much as I don’t want to hear them!

I know I’m not the only one it is keeping up at night. It seems to be the latest “elevator talk” :)

Today’s topic is about RANDOM THINGS WE FORGET:

1. We need to stretch more!

Last night I went to bootcamp with my friend Jaclyn. We were both pretty sore from our 10km run the other day. We did not stretch enough!! ouchie!!!  Stretch and hold it for a while too! My brother is an amazing runner who just won another gold medal in a 10km race and he says he NEVER gets injured because he stretches so much before and after races.

I’ve been pretty limber because of all the yoga I’ve been doing lately, but I need to take more time to STRETCH before and after workouts.

2. Flossing our little teethies

Before bed last night I went to wash my face/brush my teeth…oh ya…and floss…

Ya, I sometimes forget, or just get lazy about. BUT IT IS IMPORTANT!Did you know that flossing your teeth can prevent heart disease? Bacteria from your gums can enter your blood stream and affect the heart. So FLOSS THOSE PEARLY WHITES -everyday:)

3.Value your $$$$$$

A few days ago I had a meeting and when I was done the first thing that popped in my head was- I want Starbucks!! As I was about to walk in, I saw Safeway across the street…HMMM, I could get a $6 Starbucks now, or I could just buy some coffee at Safeway.

I went in and bought these, (I know they are not super healthy, but a good fix)

So here I get 8 coffee’s for the price of 1 Starbucks and they have only 70 Calories each! I’m not saying you should never buy Starbucks, but have respect for your money. Do you really want to exchange your money for a $6 drink that costs them 50 cents to make. IF you do. Then by all means, DO IT and feel good about it. But when you are about to buy something, really think to yourself. Is this a good investment? Is it a good exchange? Dollar for item. That’s why I am not afraid to complain if I don’t get something I ordered or like. Many people are afraid to say anything- DON”T BE! It’s YOUR MONEY!

I went to a Seminar last April that opened my eyes to money and my relationship with it. It was called “The Millionaire Mind Intensive”. T. Harv Eker, (the man in charge and behind it all) is a multi millionaire.  He says every penny counts!  EVERY TIME he see’s a penny on the ground, he picks it up like it is a gift. He says to himself ,”I am a money magnet! Thank you!”  Now when I see a penny on the ground, I always pick it up!

Since the seminar, Mike and I have adopted his money management system and it has changed our lives! If you need a kick in the pants with how your finances are being managed. Read Mike‘s entry called- The Easiest Money Management System Ever. It works very well!

4. Curl Your Eyelashes

What a difference it makes! Hold it down for at least 10 seconds.

Ask Santa for the Shu Uemura curler (The best eyelash curler on the market)

But really, any drugstore curler will do!

5. Show Gratitude

As I was laying in bed last night, (not sleeping:) I was thinking about what a great year 2010 has been. Amazing things for me like the Olympics, my brothers wedding, babies being born, hiking the West Coast Trail, going to Yellowknife and LA. The one thing that was like pow in my head was- my career. I am now a full time voice actor and makeup artist. I am soo GRATEFUL. I work hard to maintain it all, but I have arrived! It feels really good.

I don’t want to forget the people who have helped me get here (or even just hired me, gave me a chance) I want them to know how much I appreciate them. So I bought these cards (from Michaels)

It’s not bottles of Dom Perignon…yet…. but I am very GRATEFUL! Attitude of Gratitude!

The last thing I want to mention is don’t forget to tell the ones you love- how much you love them. I am thinking of my brothers right now. I will probably get all mushy on them and in return, get a few grunts back, but I love them so much and I want them to know!
