  • Did I spell Exercising right? It’s on of those words I’ve spelt wrong my whole life, other words that have been a challenge for me are ridiculouspractice, nessisary or Accommodate. However…writing this blog for the past 1.5 years has made me a better SPELLER! Woo Hoo! They should have an adult spelling bee… (or maybe not). I write the most simple words ever. Never anything fancy like supercalafragilisticexpeealidocious! haha

Moving on… or shall I say moving on UP… a whole wack of stairs!. There are many stairs in my neighbourhood. This is me standing half way up the set. Looking down and what I just came up….

And then looking up at how far I had to go. I felt stuck in the middle of heaven and hell… (I’m on fire tonight folks)

Basically I want to check in with you on your exercising….the brain…and the body. Are you moving that sexy body on a daily basis? Are you learning, reading or keeping your mind stimulated on things of interest to you? Hobbies? Interests? A Passion? I know I have to remind myself of this often and I bet you are doing amazing, I just wanted to write it down, mainly to keep me motivated.. (Does that make sense?)
Hear me out…. If I could, I would eat mexican everyday and always stay IN my comfort zone. BUT, what fun is that? I have been taking tons of classes (for you guessed it, voice) which in result is upping my game. ALSO… I’ve been moving my butt…

Here I just walked to the dog park… easy… but to get there, yes I took those stairs above!

I’m grateful I can at least walk outside right now…This is what my hometown looks like today: -40 some degrees out there!!!

    And we’re in t-shirt weather….

At the dog park today. Painter LOVES it. It’s like Disneyland for him everyday.

I also had an awesome yoga class today…

This picture below was not my class, but I am telling you… this yoga class was the BUSIEST class I have been to in my entire life. There was a line up out the door, but they just made room for everyone, they even had to take out furniture out of the yoga studio, it was nuts…. but the OMS were magical! Like make your arm hairs raise. Powerful stuff.

So ya, there ya have it. Using this brand new year to move and learn. (just don’t ask me to spell) It’s been slow getting there, but I feel like I’m back in my groove. I went for 2 runs in the past week too and my foot is feeling better! YA!

I hope your having a great week! I CAN SEE YOUR LIGHT (aka- Namaste)

  • Hello!

Happy Monday:) I started my Monday off right with a 6am yoga class!  I’m going to go again tomorrow morning. Got home from yoga and wrote out my morning pages in my journal (my 3 pages of stream of conscience ramble), listened to Morning Coach and even did a mini 5 minute meditation. It was all such a powerful and uplifting start to the day.

    Then it was Vitamix time!

    Bring on the KALE.

Frozen berries, 2 bananas juice of a lemon, ginger and a wack of kale!

Vroom vroom, let’s go for a spin.

“Hello, my name is healthy <3″

    green shake

I did a pile of auditions today, and took a little break tooooo… You guesssed it the dog park. On my walk there though, I saw some birds… some beautiful birds of paradise and….

Roosters?! Seriously this would be just like walking down any street in your neighbourhood, but then, oh look- behind your neighbours fence is a bunch of chicks.

Hey, at least the owners don’t need an alarm clock.

He gazed into each others eye….

    Eeek!

So did anyone watch the awards show yesterday? (Golden Globes yesterday?) I didn’t watch them, but I saw this picture of Charlize Theron online and I just always think she is so gorgeous!

What a great hairstyle too!! Here is step by step how her “MANE man” did it (get it? Mane man…damn I’m funny)
    Here’s Anglieri’s step-by-step for creating the look:

    * “I started with already dry, naturally waved hair, and curled small sections with a 2” curling iron to enhance the volume and texture. I used the larger iron because I didn’t want to curl her hair, but to refine the natural wave. This helped create an effortless transition from her natural look to red carpet.”
*“Once finished, I lightly misted the curled sections with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray. After a few minutes, I completely brushed through her hair with a Moroccanoil Ionic Ceramic Paddle brush to eliminate any trace of separation, for a natural, clean look with a romantic, soft texture.”
*“Next, I swept the hair to the left and made three sections. I pulled and rolled the first two into a loose bun and pinned them, working with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray throughout the process to control and hold the hair in place. I released and wrapped the last section under and around the bun and pinned it. Finally, I adjusted and freed strands in the bun looked so it looked even more unstructured, messy, and a bit wispy.
*“To finish the look, I sprayed the hair with Moroccanoil Frizz Control, the key product to making this look work and photograph well. Moroccanoil Frizz Control made any flyways disappear, gave me more control of the hair and the look of the bun, and kept everything frizz-free and in place through the evening. I then placed the Cartier diamond headband into the style.”

I think I’m going to “attempt” this look tomorrow. I’ll try it and take a picture for you! If you try it, please send it my way:)

And there ya have it! All in a days work. What’s new with you???

  • Hello!!

How was your weekend? Mine shaped up nicely.

OH my word, have I been in honeymoon phase, well since the wedding. It is time for a new start so to speak. Time to pick my socks back up and get into the game. It’s been busy, and rewarding, but I know I’m not living at my full potential. Try this exercise: If you were to have “The perfect day” what would it look like? And I don’t mean a hot date, the spa or a shopping spree. “the Perfect day” in regards to your health, wealth, communication, career, fitness, etc. You can either visualize it, write it down, or both.

Instead of being “reactive” to the world and circumstances around you, create your new reality. Since we are the only ones that can control what’s going on in our heads, why not make it work for you? Bringing about your desires comes from YOU coming up with a new idea, be creative and most of all, once that idea hits- be willing to change.

*Cool shot I took the other day of the moon peeking through a tree.

So in creating a perfect day for myself, one of the things it involves is nourishing my body with plenty of vitamins and nutrients! Hence a massive salad that Mike and I both dish out into smaller bowls.

Now you can call this one cute OR crazy, lol, but at Target I saw these “chore charts” for kids and I had to have one. How perfect? Write out your daily goals/to-do’s on the side and throughout the week as you do them, give yourself a star! I have rewards for each level of points I get to (mostly shopping related!)

Only shopping I’ve done lately is buy this iphone cover. I thought it was fun.

And the wallpaper shot of the moment….

Good times! SO, my question is this. How can you make this week an amazing week? What do you have to do to have a great day, and find yourself fulfilled? The more you can put that great energy out there and love yourself, the more you will attract into your life!

If you need an extra kick in the pants with a frozen mukluk (sorry, prairie saying, I had too!) Then watch this either tonight or first thing when you wake up. Written and voiced by yours truly.

Let me know how it goes. And hey kiddo- I really appreciate you! xoxo

  • Hello!

Happy Friday to you as we welcome the weekend. Today I had a meeting, plus a voice job and a few auditions including one for Pier 1 Imports… crossing fingers.

On my non-work hours, I did a lot of walking and exploring as always. Love this kitschy mailbox on a trendy LA street.

I saw Orange, grapefruit, lime, and lemon trees every couple blocks.

    Typical LA street.

Oh Look! Here’s the set of “Little shopr of horrors!!” (doesn’t it look like it could eat you???)

Our dog LOVES California so much. Here is a typical shot of him after his daily trek to the dog park……He is in HEAVEN!

What would a LA Friday night be without a El Compadre Flaming Margarita?!!

Good day today! Lots to be done tomorrow. Including a massive sleep in and coffee upon awakening.
I hope you have a stellar weekend plan…Enjoy it:)

  • Holla from LA!

It’s Monday today and I was planning on getting back in the studio, being hardcore with voiceovers and drinking green smoothies and doing yoga….AHH, I’m not perfect… not even close.

Mike had a HUGE life changing meeting today. I don’t want to ramble on about it until he is on location and everything is concrete, but as soon as Mike walked in from his meeting, we hugged and I immediately said, “Let’s go for Mexican!” One of my LA faves is El Coyote.

When I go to Mexican restaurants I usually only order 2 things… Margaritas and guacamole. they supply unlimited chips and salsa, so really… I am a cheap date…

Even though now that we are married ALL of our accounts are joined- I “treated” Mike to lunch.

    Here’s my margarita face…

Here’s Mike’s margarita face… (he is still getting accustomed to the amazing margs they make down here… lol)

We were sure to get a margarita TO GO for Painter…. (Just kidding, ha. It was water. He NEEDS it desperately after his daily trip to the dog park).

    Little bugger..

We did some errands down on Melrose ave.

Then we went to see a band called The Remainers. The bass player helped set up our phones and we totally hit it off so we went to check our their band. They were awesome!

Check out The Remainers cool video using toys from the 80′s!

I also met a fellow blogger named Cindy! She is super cool. Check out her fashion blog.

It was a great time. Now time to work!!

    Talk to you soooooooooooooooooooon
