Archive: CRAZY ME:)

  • Hello!

Let’s not even talk about my absence. Let’s just be friends;) I love you!

When we were living it up in Hollywood, I would every so often check out the “Daily Deal” site, like Groupon. I ended up buying a haircut at a salon that was down the street from my apartment. Did I use it? No. I also got a spray tan in Marina Del Ray, that I knew I’d be able to swing by sometime while I was in the area. Did I use it? No.

So, if your in the LA area and want a free haircut and/or spray tan- contact me!

    Hollywood

There’s definitely been times while even here in Vancouver I bought things off those deal sites and I forget about them. Waste. Of. Money! Might as well just pay full price and go to someone you like!

I’m actually planning a trip across the border to Bellingham to go see my hairdresser soon. She is RAD! I found her through the blogging world. It is where skinnyrunner.com goes when she is in the area.
Here’s the last time she did my ‘do.

Ohh, and while we’re down there, we hit up the one and only Trader Joe’s! Woot Woot.

Going to Bellingham isn’t as exciting as California, but it’s across the border and it still feels like the US…

Here is Mike walking down our beloved Redondo Beach, CA. (definitely gonna live there one day…..)

    Redondo Beach

But, it’s not the exterior that can make one happy (although it freaking helps!) The main this is that we’re happy on the inside……

    YUP… ($1.50 at Forever 21! Ya, $1.50… woah, inexpensive)

You know what else is inexpensive? This Green Smoothie!!

All you need is bananas, kale, lemon, apple, and some ginger. mmmm, mmmm. So you buy a bunch of kale a bunch of bananas, a bag of apples, a ginger root and some lemons and there you have breakfast for all week!!

This smoothie totally hit the spot today.

This was my chance to say hi! So hi!

“Camera, come with me so we can take more pictures!!”

Camera says, “Ok sure! Let’s go snap”

    Springy fever

Hello! AHHHH! Where have I been? :(

Yes I can b$t@h and moan that I am soo busy, but that is no excuse to neglect my dearly and beloved blog!

All I can do is laugh it off like these big crazy men at English Bay dt Vancity.

With the spring weather, the beaches and seawall paths are packed. Oh look, you can see my old building to the left there. <3 English Bay.

    Puppy’s perspective of Lost Lagoon..

Snow capped mountains in the distance…

These little marsh areas are neat, but we gotta keep an eye on the pup as we stroll through, there are some fierce racoons in nearby!

So instead of playing with racoons, he can just play with his friend rose.

Oh No! The pups are thirsty. Think fast- let’s flip over the frisbee! Now they are both hydrated.

Yes, I miss LA, but seriously, this is the view from my apartment last night. So gorgeous.

    Port Moody sunset

Went to Whole Foods yesterday. First time in my life, I bought organic, “everything-free” deodorant and shampoo/conditioner. You hear soooo much about how many chemicals and toxins are in our supply’s, I want to take a few steps to get some organic, good products. I partly went by price point, partly really quick grabs cause I was in a hurry- but I went with JASON Tea Tree Deodorant and ALBA shampoo and conditioner. I will let you know what I think!

Alba coconut shampoo, alba conditioner, jason deoderant, tea tree

I just worked out and the deodorant seemed good. Still smell fresh and non-offensive!

I hope you are kicking so much butt in all you are doing! Some family coming in today- I’ll keep ya posted on our fun and games;)

  • Hello!

The 1st quarter of the year was spent hanging out on Sunset Blvd…

..at the Rainbow Bar and Grill with friends….We sat at table #3 (I used to work there… lol)

    Rainbow bar and grill

Drinking flaming margarita’s at El Compadre…

    Cruising Santa Monica Pier…

Checking out yachts at Redondo Beach..

BUT Alas, the 1st quarter is over… moving into the 2nd… and this is where I hung out today…

    treadmill

    I was doing a walk/run combo for 40 minutes.

I also made this beautiful salad. Last minute, I added tumeric (that orangy powder) It is an immaculate cancer preventer and all around amazing thing to add to your diet. (didn’t really change the flavour of the salad either. It was still really good.

    salad with tumeric

I was sitting on my couch, eating the salad in my own little glory, then I noticed these little raisin packs on my coffee table, I added a pack to the salad as well.. NICE!

1st quarter, 2nd quarter, whatever quarter, no matter what I always work hard and have my goals in mind. Some quarters I push harder than others, but I never loose sight! Last quarter I took some invaluable voice acting lessons, and also made some discoveries that have changed the way I look at my life, career, etc. I am ready for QUARTER 2! BRING IT ON!! Hope you have big plans for your amazing 2nd quarter of 2012. Let’s make it rock! Because……WE ROCK!!

  • Ahh, hello from CANADA! Our LA extravaganza is over…for now…

Here is the paradise we left.. This was about 10 steps from our apartment!

    Redondo Beach

These great pictures are courtesy of Dee when she was visiting…. Ahhh, just look at the view

    Redondo Beach, CA

The final days in our crammed studio-beach apartment…(Note:Mike rolling his eyes…. lol)

    redondo beach apartments

But alas, it was time to go home… never know where the next adventure will lead..

On our way out of town, I saw this truck transporting a billion grapefruits.. “Hey! Throw one over heeeeerrreee!

I think this was in Sacramento. Time to run Painter, so he doesn’t go mad with all the driving…

    Sacremento, CA

Pretty sun peaking through the clouds..

This here below is Seattle, almost 24 hours after the Sacramento sun!

    seattle

As soon as Mike and I crossed the border… we headed for Tim Hortons! (Famous Canadian coffee. It’s “roll up the rim” season, but we both failed to produce wins upon our rollings of the rims….

    Tim Hortons

Ok, here’s another NON-WIN…. I was in this crazy Japanese store in LA where everything was $1.50. I found these hair elastics… “Sweet!”, I thought..

Until, I opened the package up, grabbed an elastic to put my hair up… What the?? These are just strings of elastic… Did the machine break down to make it a complete circular elastic band? What am I missing here???

That’s $1.50 out the window. Oh, I bought a 1.50 hair brush for Painter…. Garbage too! lol

Painter is happy to be home. Sitting on his ledge on the sofa, looking out at our view. We all forgot how beautiful it is! There’s no place like home…

Hope all is well in your world! I know I haven’t been posting as regularly as often. But I feel much more settled now that I’m home. I can get into a rhythm/pattern again of being a blogging machine! xoxo

Lots of love and sunshine from my heart to yours <3
